2023: No election winner will be denied a mandate, regardless of political party – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari said on Tuesday (November 15th) that no election winner would be denied his mandate in 2023.

The President made this known during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign kick-off in Jos, Plateau State.

Buhari also urged ruling party members to support all APC candidates in the 2023 general election.

According to a statement released by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari said that “no election winner will be denied his mandate, regardless of which party he belongs to.”

The president, while presenting the APC flag to the candidate on the tumultuous occasion, said the country needed a man like the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, according to The Punch.

He urged party loyalists to campaign on the issues and abilities of the presidential flag bearer and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

President Buhari also reiterated his earlier assurances that he would be at the forefront of the campaign because of his belief in the party.

He noted that only APC could bring Nigeria to fulfill its historic goal, adding that by working with the party leadership, campaign council and its many supporters, the goal would be achieved.
