Ghulam Nabi Azad says new political party will be announced in 10 days

After quitting the Congress party, Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Sunday he would announce a new party in ten days. While addressing a meeting in Baramulla, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, “We will announce a new party in ten days.” Importantly, Azad, in his first public meeting in Jammu after leaving Congress, announced the launch of his own political outfit which will focus on restoring a full state.

“I have not decided on the name of my party yet. The people of JK will decide on the name and the flag of the party. I will give my party a Hindustani name that everyone can understand,” he said during of the gathering. after breaking with his five-decade association with the big old party, according to the news agency ANI report.

“My party will focus on restoring a full state, land rights and indigenous home employment,” he added. Azad said the first unit of his political team would be formed in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. “My party will focus on restoring a full state, land rights and indigenous home employment,” he added.

Meanwhile, he went after Congress and said people are trying to defame us (me and my followers who left the party) but their reach is limited to computer tweets. Criticizing the party, Azad said: “Congress was made by us by our blood, not by computers, not by Twitter. People try to defame us but their reach is limited to computers and tweets. That’s the reason Congress is nowhere to be seen on the ground,” according to ANI report.

The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir held his first public meeting at Sainik settlement in Jammu. “I thank everyone who has supported me through their resignations, WhatsApp messages and other media from all over the country since I resigned from the party. I have served the Congress Party by holding all positions during for the past 53 years, but I’ve never received so much love even when I’m not in any position,” Azad said.
