By Rohit Kumar Singh: Members of Prashant Kishor poll strategist Jan Suraj Abhiyan held a district-level meeting in Bihar’s West Champaran on Sunday and voted for Kishor to form his own political party. Kishor started his 3,500 km long padyatra (walk) – Jan Suraaj Abhiyan – on October 2.

The convention was held at Maharani Janki Kunwar College, Bettiah on the 43rd day of Prashant Kishore’s padyatra, where organizers voted to turn Jan Suraj Abhiyan into a political party.

Of 2,887 attendees who attended the convention in 18 blocks of West Champaran, 2,808 voted for Prashant Kishor to form his own political party.

While addressing the convention, Prashant Kishor denounced the Mahagathbandhan government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar and even the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that if the people of Bihar decided, the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan would be eliminated from the state in the next elections.

“I did not just come here to fight but to win. In political circles in Bihar, there are ongoing talks that the vote bank will be shaken because of my political activism. I would like to say that if the people of Bihar decide, then Mahagathbandhan and BJP will be eliminated,” the polls strategist said.

He also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that people in Bihar were suffering from “Modiabind” (a pun on Motiabind – cataract). “There has been a huge impact of Modiabind in Bihar. People in the state should come out of Modiabind policy,” Prashant Kishor said.
